As we get older, we start to think about many things, including what if we become ill or need to be in an assisted-care facility.
For many of us, this is not a happy thought, but one that may indeed become a reality one day.
While most of us will have immediate family, life partners or as in my case, an extended family or friends who we can count on during those troubling times, there are a great many who do and will not.
Throw into the mix that not all health-care or assisted-care facilities are LGBT friendly, it can become nightmare situation for a great number of LGBT\'s.

There are many things in life LGBT\'s have to consider and look at in the future and our health is one. That in and of itself would be fine, but when we also have to worry about how the health care industry will treat us, well, that\'s just isn\'t an acceptable parameter to have to worry about.
Unlike younger generations, many of the Boomer and older generations quite often take longer to come out of the closet.
If, in fact, they ever do.
